As you can see, blocking didn't cure everything. The text is certainly readable and the checkerboard is flat, but there are little gaps here and there. One of the W's came out looking... not like the others. That's because I don't tend to pay attention to which strand goes over and which one goes under when I'm knitting fair isle. And as I've learned, letters are much more unforgiving than Shetland "peeries." Still, I'm ridiculously pleased with myself. I'd like to think Mr. Bowie himself would be impressed.
